A new Variable Print feature has been added to CFM Online Ordering that drastically cuts costs, eliminates errors, and speeds up production time of custom printed Stationery items.
CFM customers have been requesting quotes, ordering forms, and checking order status online with great satisfaction for over 5 years now. Within the last few months CFM has added a new capability that allows our customers to order custom Stationery type items such as business cards, letterhead, and envelopes through our system as well. Think of the way you might go about ordering business cards from a printer today:
You call your printer to place an order of business cards for a new employee. Then your printer typesets the card and couriers a proof to your office for review. You might need to make a change, which requires another phone call or email to your printer, and possibly another proof sent back to you for approval. After the final proof is approved, your printer actually prints the business cards, which are delivered to you sometime in the future.
Within CFM Online Ordering, the new Variable Print feature provides customer specific “templates” that are setup for you to easily create and approve your own proofs. These proofs are sent electronically to the actual printing press that will manufacture your cards. This system eliminates phone calls, errors in translations of spelling, proof charges, and courier charges.
Our customers simply login to CFM Online Ordering and select the appropriate template for the card they wish to have printed. The system will require all the relevant variable information such as: name, title, direct, and mobile phone numbers. Once this information is entered, the system generates a PDF proof for you to review, change and approve in real time on your computer. The proof is instantly imported into the press production queue for printing. The cards, depending on the colors and complexity can be delivered in as little as 3 days.
